Turning Off Audio when a Main Layer is Revisited

Mar 23, 2016

Background Info:  The attached slide launches an audio recording informing the users they can click on each of the  6 distinct areas to understand the fields in that area.  Each of those areas is a hotspot taking the user to that layer.  After exploring that layer the user clicks a button returning them to this slide.  (The audio was created in Storyline using the Record Screen function.

The Problem:  Every time the user returns to this slide the audio plays again.  I only want it to play the first time the user sees this page.

Question:  How do I stop the repeated playing of the audio each time the user is returned to this slide?

You can set a True/False variables. And play the media(audio) on the condition of variables True when timeline starts the slide. Adjust the variables to False when any of the area's states is visited.

So when any of the area is visited, the variables will equal to False. And the audio will not play since it only plays in the condition of variables True.
