I sent my newly created course with a Survey Monkey file embedded as a web object. It plays fine for me when published. I emailed the zip file to two co-workers to test.
One could not the file to play, an empty white window appeared.
The other could get the course to play, but the survey would not display and instead got an error message saying "The web object feature on this slide has been disabled while viewing locally because your browser does not support it.
When played locally (on a user's harddrive) web objects are blocked by browser security settings. Maybe you can upload the content to some server (or an alternative like DropBox, GoolgeDrive, TempShare) and email the link.
What sort of settings? My manager could play it fine, but not someone else. That leads me to believe I can change the settings if I just knew what they were.
