Audio files in Rise

I have a course created in Rise. Before some sections begin,  I have a tutor audio file explaining the content....the difficulty is, that a user scrolls on further through the content and can play another audio file that overlaps, and another down further that overlaps too and so on.

I think the audio settings are not great on Rise as it stands and makes it difficult to add narration to a course, which can be hugely important.

Any advice would be hugely helpful

  • Maybe you can use Continue Blocks to ensure that the learner can't move to the next section before the audio clip has finished playing?

  • Hi Ronan! Natalie is right, you can add a Continue block right after the audio. More information about that can be found here.

Thanks for also sharing that you want audio narration in Rise. I will add this as a feature request and we'll update this thread if we make any changes.

  • Hi RonanMonahan-33, 🎉

I’m excited to share that we’ve released a new Rise 360 update that includes a feature you might be interested in:

    • Insert audio in text, quote, statement, image, list, carousel, flashcard, tabs, and accordion blocks.

There’s nothing to install for web apps. New features and fixes are immediately available.

Let me know if you have any questions about this update!
