Issue with Audio Playback after Pause

We have a customer reporting that when he pauses the playback on a course, to take notes, the audio starts over from the beginning upon resume.  He is using the Edge browser and has no other browser option.

I have tried replicating the issue but it's working  normally for me.

Wondering if there is a known issue about this, or if anybody can share any insights.

If he is the only user reporting issues, then it is likely a problem on his system. However, I would thoroughly test whether it happens for you (or anyone else you can rope into being a tester) using multiple browsers, and whether it happens at the same point(s) as he says or throughout the course. It could simply be that the user is actually hitting the replay button instead of continue.

You should also confirm whether it's happening only on one or two slides, or random ones.

It seems he is using the scrubber bar to jump back or ahead... he's pausing to take notes.  Says it happens with every course he tries to take.   I have tested in multiple browsers as well as a colleague, and we cannot replicate the issue.

If he's using a second screen to display a word processing doc or text doc file, that could be the cause- flipping active screens may potentially be interpreted by the browser playing the Storyline file as closing and restarting the course/module at that specific point. Have him try keeping the browser window and wherever he takes notes open in the same monitor/display screen and see whether that affects this behavior.

Alternately, you could suggest that he take physical notes that he then transcribes after the fact. Problem solved...
