Slide title

I am experiencing a rather strange problem when using the new feature with Project.SlideTitle. When i use the Project.SlideTitle and set it to bold a couple of characters are displayed in bold but others are not resulting in a not so visually appealing slide.

  • Hi Per! Happy to help you solve this. Could you share a few key details with me?

If you don't mind sharing this slide with our team, we'd be happy to take a closer look. We'll delete it when we're done troubleshooting.

If that works for you, send it along right here!

The same thing is happening to me, so I'll answer Alyssa's questions too.

    • Yes, I inserted using the Slide Numbers feature
    • Yes, I do have Modern Text enabled
    • Changed fonts - some are more obvious, but none are great.

I created a brand new project and inserted the slide title multiple times, so I imagine you can reproduce this by doing the same thing.

  • Hi Terry! Thanks for those detailed steps â€“ now I'm seeing the same thing on my end! Let me get this to my team to see how we can help.

As soon as I know more, I'll pass it along to you!

Is there any update on this? I started making this change in a bunch of in-progress lessons, but will have to go back to my old method of creating a variable and updating it on every slide.  (unless this is fixed, of course)

We are currently working around this by setting a new variable to the value of Project.SlideTitle  in the master slide on timeline start and using the new variable as title.

Thanks Per, that is how I did it before, but I got all excited about the new built-in variable and deleted my old variable and all the triggers on a half-dozen modules. So now I guess I have to go recreate these.  It's a tad frustrating.

  • Hi Terry,

No update to share at this time. This conversation is linked to the report so that we can share updates here with you when we can.

In the meantime, it looks like Per is sharing his solution.

    Thanks, Per!
