Slow, Unresponsive, lag

Anyone else experience Rise360 being slow and unresponsive in the last 24 hours? Editing is painful since everything is slow and lagging?

Multiple browsers, Multiple networks, Multiple devices used. Cache cleared and system restarted multiple times.

I've submitted a ticket but wanted to see if there are others having issues.

  • Hi Everyone!

I’m happy to share that we just released a new update for Rise 360!

This update fixes the issue that was causing slowdowns while authoring course content. There’s nothing to install for web-based apps. New features and fixes are immediately available!

If you’re still experiencing slowdowns, first please ensure any browser plugins have been disabled. Also, when working with large scale courses, some slowdowns are expected. To remedy that, we suggest breaking larger courses down into smaller pieces.

If you have questions about this update, or the issue you reported, please connect with our team through a support case.

    Thank you!

    • Hi DB15!

Thanks for letting us know you're also experiencing slowdowns in Rise 360.

I noticed you've been working with my colleague Ian, through a support case. Great move! Let's continue the conversation there.

  • Our team is also facing horrendous lag, timeouts and errors - to the point where we cannot build today. This is slowing down our production.

Same here- struggling to get anything done today. It's been slow since last Thursday, but particularly bad today.

        Hi EloiseHalliday!

Sorry to hear that you're struggling, when attempting to author in Rise 360!

I see that my teammate Mick received the support case you opened. He should be connecting with you via e-mail shortly!

  • Performance has been poor for about a month, but recently it's been appalling - of course, the usual 'it must be your side' is the standard response to tickets. I think the absolute worst performance correlates with the new AI translation features - could this be load balancing given what I suspect will be unprecedented demand as people test out this tool? Other forums are reporting this degraded to the point of being unusable recently. We are a savvy bunch - 99% of us know how to troubleshoot our own hardware and connections or have skilled teams supporting us who can, so I'm hoping that this passing the book mentality will change and they'll do something about the issue!

  • Yes, I've been experiencing this as well. I can't open a lesson I was working on at all. It's quite a long lesson, not sure what to do. Is anyone using the Mighty extension? I have turned this off but the delay is still there.

I am having the same issue with Storyline360. Something as simple as copying and pasting an object is freezing the program, and displaying the same prompt that Sandra mentioned. I also just did the latest update after it freezing again this morning - 5 minutes later, freezes again.

      Hi ChloeNash!

Sorry to hear you're experiencing slowdowns when authoring in Storyline 360!

Is this behavior occurring across all Storyline project files? If so, and you've already confirmed you are working locally, please try a repair of your Storyline installation.

However, if the issue is file-specific, do you mind sharing that .story file so we can take a closer look? Feel free to upload it here in the discussion or privately through a support case.

  • Yes.  Sadly, I've been experiencing this since Friday.  Completed all of the above as well with no resolve. Getting a 'this page isn't responding' message with a Wait or Exit Page link. Also, it's kicking me out of the course, saying 'something went wrong, please try again or contact support if the problem persists.'  I also opened a ticket.  They are troubleshooting now.

Yeah, I've experienced all of that as well. Let's say work was challenging today with all these issues.

Very challenging.  Do you have AI Assistant?  We just signed up for that.  Wondering if that has anything to do with it.
