Peek Video Recording - outside selected fram

May 18, 2021

Hi - looking to see if you can provide some help with the following:

My current set up is: Thinkpad laptop running windows. I have an additional monitor hooked up via a HDMI.

When I record in peek, if I select "record screen #2" the box overlaps screens #1 and #2. I resized the box to fit only on screen#2. When I record only a small section is captured and everything outside of that section is black.

When disconnect the second monitor, I am able to record the screen.

When using dual screens, is there a setting that I need to change so that it captures what I want to record properly on either screen?

Thank you.

Hi Dante,

Thanks for reaching out! We do have a bug reported where the Peek application itself is cutoff when a second display isn't level or aligned to the other display.

Could you check:

  • If the displays are aligned to one another?
  • Do you have your Display Settings: Scale and Layout set to 100%?

If so, our support engineers can take a closer look at your setup and nail down the cause!
