Adding custom fonts via Typekit

I'd like to use the font Apertura as part of our theme. I have access to this font via Adobe Typekit, which can be embedded via HTML code using the process outlined here: https://helpx.adobe.com/fonts/using/add-fonts-website.html

Is there a way to implement custom fonts in this way? I know that custom fonts can be added via .woff file upload, but in order to ensure that we have usage rights, we'd like to try implementing this font via Typekit.
