Audio Response and File Upload for Learners in Rise?

Aug 19, 2020

Hi I would like to have a section in my course where learners can record and submit their voice recordings, or upload a file. Is there such a function in Rise? Thank you!

Hi Karen! Thanks for reaching out!

We're still tracking requests for a submission or survey block to get learner's data. For now, as a workaround, you can use a third-party form such as Google Forms and use the Embed Block in Rise 360.

When using Google Forms, to allow users to submit attachments:

  1. Click Add question "" and enter your request for information.
  2. Next to the question, click the Down arrow "" and select File upload.

Commenting in hopes this will be upgraded to a feature request.

While embedding of third party form application works. It only works when the org has SSO and the user is logged in.

Otherwise capturing these on a public form is quite chaotic when the course takes in about 100-400 requests.  i.e people entering their name wrong in a form, not mentioning their name or student number on a audio file etc.

Would really like a seamless approach to either add it as a feature within knowledge checks or assessments.
