Content Block for External Links

Apr 17, 2023

I have a link to a policy pdf that I would like learners to click on before they can continue.

Is it possible to create a content block that specifically requires  learner to click on the link before being able to continue?

Thanks!

You can use a feature called "Completion Criteria" in many learning management systems (LMS) to set up the requirement.

Here's how you can set it up in Moodle LMS:

  1. Create a new activity/resource and select "File" as the type of resource.
  2. Upload your policy PDF file.
  3. Under "Activity completion," select "Student must view this activity to complete it."
  4. Under "Restrict access," select "Add restriction" and choose "Activity completion."
  5. Under "Activity completion," select "Student must view the activity to complete it" and set it to "Yes."
  6. Save and return to the course page.

This is just one example of how you can set up completion criteria in an LMS to require learners to complete certain tasks before continuing.
