Forward-Seeking Audio in Rise

Apr 21, 2020

We have built a majority of our courses in Rise. (Over 60 courses with multiple modules in most.) We have had numerous issues with students speeding through content and completing courses in less than 10 minutes. Our courses are anywhere from 1 hour to 9 hours so completing a course in that amount of time is impossible. Since our students work in high liability professions, we are being advised by our Regulatory Agency to immediately lock down the courses and prevent students from moving from module to module in record breaking speed. Any suggestions or features available to help us stop students from forward-seeking audio and prevent them from continuing until the blocks are completed?

Hi Melissa!

Thanks for letting us know you need an option to disable forward-seeking in a Multimedia Audio block.

While that's not currently a feature in Rise 360, you could always build the audio interaction in Storyline, then embed it using a Storyline Block. You can even require learners to complete the audio in the Storyline block before moving forward.

Let me know if that alternative would work for you!
