Hi Jill,

When a user selects an item, what would you like to happen? The checkbox list block type would allow users to select items in the list - but that "checking off" doesn't get tracked or reported anywhere.

As for the progress indicator, there isn't an option to remove that right now, but if you'd like to not report the completion percentage to your LMS, you could always set the tracking based on a quiz or look at exporting using the No LMS - Web Only option.

Thanks for replying! In this instance I wanted to just make an interactive menu that runs on a SharePoint site. User clicks a "lesson" and sees a window or string of windows (timeline). I don't want to run in an LMS, I don't want to force users to select all the choices, and I'm not gathering any information from them. I did export using No LMS but the bar is still there. Most people probably wouldn't want to use Rise this way and this is the first time I've ever thought of using it like this. I think I can get what I need from Storyline, though, and I'm working on it now. Thanks!

Hi Jill,

One of the great things about Articulate 360 is you have access to both tools! Storyline will give you all those options you need to have custom interactivity and an immersive learning experience - and will still look great on mobile. Take a look at some other ideas of how the pros use Storyline and Rise.

Thanks for this! I have an ancient copy of Dreamweaver and was able to remove the bar but not the percent. Played around for a while but my CSS knowledge, tools, and time are limited. Got the job done with Storyline but I look forward to working with Rise as it matures and we (hopefully) get more control over the sidebar.

Great news, folks!

We just released a new feature in Rise where users can now customize the sidebar's visibility without the need for any CSS! Check out Adam's post here for additional information and a quick video!

We hope you enjoy, and please let us know if you have any other ideas either here or via our product feature request form 👂
