Spanish version won't load in LMS

Apr 24, 2020

Hi There, we recently uploaded a new course to our LMS and we're trying to test it.  We have one English course that's been translated into French and Spanish, and for some reason the Spanish one won't load.  It was built simply by duplicating the content and translating the information inside.  The english and french versions load, but the Spanish version won't:

Details:

  • Built in Rise 360
  • Exported in SCORM 1.2
  • Edge Chromium browser
  • SuccessFactors LMS using iContent
  • Uploads to SF were successful, but when we click on the Spanish module it opens a blank window that never loads anything
  • Tested on multiple machines

Hi there, Adam!

Thanks for letting us know what's going on. Is Edge Chromium the only browser giving you this problem? If you try viewing the course in Chrome, does it appear correctly?

I would also suggest uploading the output file to SCORM Cloud, an LMS testing tool. This will help determine if the issue lies within your LMS or the output file itself. If you are able to replicate, be sure to send the output file to us to take a peek.

The strange part is that the course is published in three languages.  We created the English version, then duplicated it twice to create French and Spanish.  The English and French versions work fine, but the Spanish loads up a blank screen and nothing comes up.... We have 15 courses that have to go live in 7 days and we're panicking a bit....

We are having this exact same issue!  The course works in the LMS in English, Chinese, Korean and Japanese but Spanish won't work any more! We uploaded it once time and it worked, then we made one edit and republished and now it won't work at all in ONLY Spanish.  The course previews great and also exports to SCORM. But when we  try to upload it into our LMS/SuccessFactors, Spanish does not work.

Hi Ann! Thanks for reaching out! If the course works properly in SCORM Cloud, the issue may be with SuccessFactors. You may contact your LMS admin as they would know best how to address this type of issue in the LMS.

You can enable LMS debug mode to share this with your LMS so they can review the debug logs.

If you need additional help after you've shared this with your LMS, you can open up a case with us so we can assist!
