After I installed the Articulate 13 update every time I open a powerpoint file (or any of the products in the suite) Articulate wants me to activate & register my license. I am seeing the countdown for days remaining on my "trial" version and all I need to do is click through the screens to activate and register...BUT THIS IS ANNOYING!!!
Please upload the fireball.log file from your computer to our server for review. The fireball.log is a text file created by Articulate software that records activation events on the local computer.
Right-click the res13Cleanup.bat file and select Run as administrator. (This deletes the Studio registry keys and prepares the computer for a clean re-installation. It should only take a few seconds.)
4. Delete Fireball log:
-Click on Start > Run > type %appdata%\Articulate\Fireball\ and hit Enter -Delete the fireball file in this folder.
5. Please download/save on your computer the Update 2 installer:
Was this issue resolved in the last update? I used to get this a lot and am not anymore, which could be due to the update, or the fact I am more in Storyline than Studio lately!
There's a known issue where you may be prompted to re-activate your software even after successfully activating it. We'll be issuing a fix for it soon, and we'll be sure to update this Thread as soon as it becomes available.
Please let us know if you need anything else, and have a great day!
This issue was fixed in Update 4 for Articulate Studio '13. To take advantage of the new features and fixes, download and install the latest version here. Thanks!
Our Support Team has seen a few persistent instances of this problem and has a few tricks up their sleeves. I have taken the liberty of submitting a Support Case on your behalf so that they can take a closer look at the problem. Thanks!
Thought I had solved this problem a year ago - but it has returned. I have tried all the suggested procedures but none work. I just upgraded to Windows 10 - although this may be coincidental. I have attached my fireball log. Any help appreciated.
Hi Kevin! It does appear that we are seeing a few instances of this again and our QA Team is actively working on this. I will add this thread for awareness and so that I can update when applicable.
I see where you are working with Vevette in support as well (00687140). As you work through the activation code issue, she should be able to assist you with this as well.
I just updated to Windows 10 and now cannot open Quizmaker 13. I was able to "activate" my copy of Articulate Studio 13, but it appears to have activated a Trial copy. When I try to open QuizMaker I get the attached screenshots. I have a big project to do today and need to open Quizmaker. Please help! Thanks. Rebecca
This has just started to happen to me as well. I have not upgraded or made any other changes to either my pc or studio 13. To make it more annoying if I click on activate now, automatic activation isn't available. I haven't bothered with manual activation yet, thought I'd see what the issue was first.
Hi Gaye,
I had a problem after upgrading to Windows 10 with Articulate Studio 13
already installed and I could not register Quizmaker. Tech support is
helping but no solution yet.
Good luck!
Rebecca
Thanks for letting us know you were working with our Support team. I see that Robert was able to assist and advised you to reinstall your Studio '13 software and that got you situated and going. Also, the UI admin notice for Windows 10 is detailed here.
Gaye, if you're not prompting to be able to activate, and you'd like to work with our team we'd be happy to assist. You could also begin by going through the manual activation to start.

I installed the Update 4 but it didn't fix the problem. I will try the procedure Gene outlined and see what happens.
Tried the procedure Gene outlined and this didn't work either. I have attached my Fireball log. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi all,
Articulate Studio '13 Update 7 is now available for download. It adds support for Apple iOS 9 and includes bug fixes. Click here for details.
Applied the update and it solved my problem of repeated requests for activation. Thanks a lot.
Happy to hear that helped you out Kevin and feel free to let us know if you need anything else.
I have been having the problem of repeated activation requests. I installed the update. It did not fix the problem
