Hi,

To conform to 508, I have to provide alternate text for all of my images.  My presentation is in PowerPoint. I was reading http://www.articulate.com/blog/heres-how-to-achieve-rapid-section-508-compliance/ but in my case I have to publish to LMS SCORM 1.2.  Will the procedure described (save as word, add alt text, publish PP presentation to LMS, create a hyperlink to published file, save the word document as web page) work? Does it mean that LMS should have a version published directly from PowerPoint and one from Word?

Hi Linas & welcome to Heroes,

You will basically have two items that you will upload to your LMS:

1.  Your PowerPoint presentation that you published with Articulate to SCORM 1.2

2.  The web page that you created using the method described in that blog article

Keep in mind that you'll have limited tracking options for the single web page since it does not have a SCORM wrapper.  You may be able to wrap your single page with a SCORM wrapper by using this JavaScript wrapper:
