Annotations for Replay
Apr 21, 2015
I'm creating eLearning for external customers. The challenge I'm having is when using Presenter '13 and inserting video (teaching software navigation and functionality) the video quality is awful when published from Presenter. I have tried enhancing the video using the custom settings, but it did not improve quality of published video at all. So now I'm seeking alternate solution, which may be using Replay; however, there are no annotations options within Replay. Any suggestions for annotations when using Replay? As I'm really seeking to be able to add arrows or box outlines or even shadow outlines, so as I click on function in software, it can be highlighted in video
Or suggestions on improving my video quality when published in Presenter?
Thanks

Hi Michael!
Articulate Studio '13 gives you the highest possible video quality with the smallest possible file size. See this article for details.
Replay does not have an annotation feature. You can submit that as a feature request if you'd like here.
Hi Michael,
Replay does not have the same options in terms of annotating a video - although you can conduct screen recordings with it, so perhaps there are elements on your system you could use to point things out? Also in regards to the Presenter video quality, there is some compression as a part of the publish process described here.
Hi
Yes I'm aware of the compression but it does not appear to give my video the quality needed
Any ideas on any annotation tools which could be used with Replay??
Thanks

I'm not aware of any annotation tools which folks have utilized with Replay, but I'll defer to the community to weigh in on that particular set up.
