Articulate compatibility with 64 bit

Apr 11, 2013

Hello,

I am using a Studio 09', and would like to upgrade my LT to Win7 64 bit.

I tried to investigate the compatibility in the knowledge center and the forum.

on one hand it says that the articulate is supported in both 32 & 64 bit, but not supported in Office 2010 64 bit... in addition i saw posts from the past year that there are problems with the 64bit. A bit confusing

I would appreciate if someone can clarify the supported versions and combinations of Windows 7 and Office 2010 / 2013 in 64 bit.

Thanks,

Ayal

My experience has been that Windows 64-bit is fine (that's what I'm running now) but Office 64-bit is a problem.  I use Office 2007 32-bit.  Should be the same with Office 2010.  However, my understanding is that Office 2013 (even 32-bit) isn't compatible with Presenter, and it's not fully compatible wtih Storyline (I think there are problems importing sldies from PPT 2013, and also exporting to Word 2013).  That's part of the reason I haven't upgraded Office.

I'm no tech expert, so take my response wtih a grain of salt, but that was the conclusion I reached a couple of months ago when i was researching for my new laptop.

Hi Ayal!

Microsoft released a 32-bit and a 64-bit version of Office 2010. Microsoft recommends installing the 32-bit version, and Articulate Presenter '09 will only work with the 32-bit version. Presenter '09 also will not work with the Click To Run version of PowerPoint 2010.
