Articulate updates

Hi all,
This is just a general question about Articulate 2009.
As you probably know, in Power-point you can check for updates and then download a file to improve the software etc. BUT...if I have produced a SCORM zip file previously (let's for sake or argument call it test.zip) and uploaded it to my LMS, if I install this update and go back to the original articulate file that I used to RE-PUBLISHÂ test.zip and then re-uploaded it to the SAME course on my LMS, then this shouldn't affect the original scorm-tracking records, right?

Hi Keith,
I believe this depends on the server used to host the content and how it handles the records. I wouldn't think that it would cause any problems for that, but without knowing how your specific LMS works, I cannot say for certain.
You could perform a quick test, however, to see if your LMS overwrites scoring/tracking data when a course is overwritten.
Create a quick and simple project with a quiz and upload it to the LMS. Complete the quiz and leave the course.
Make some minor changes to the project, upload and overwrite the content. Does the data in the LMS change?
