Audio Lost after Saving Slides to Word

Sep 29, 2015

I've visited https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-presenter/articulate-problem-audio-missing and seen the associated documents while attempting to solve the issue.  None of that has worked.

I am not on a network drive, the add-in is enabled, there is no -old.ppta, the folder is named differently, all of it.

I simply did a word export, and it removed all my flash inserts and deleted all the audio.  In '09, this was not an issue, but this is the first time I'm doing it in '13.

I cannot lose this audio - it's simply not an option as this project has been a problem from the get go and is already delayed.  Please help!

Hey Christie!

I'm responding with a NEW issue. I've just lost my audio AGAIN and I have no idea why.  This time, it was a different presentation.  This presentation in particular is simple, and the most I did was split some audio and save it.  Apparently, I'm doing something wrong consistently if I keep losing audio, but nothing in your documentation has helped me determine why precisely I keep losing audio.

It's pretty unacceptable that I should have to export my audio every single time I record it, even if that is a good practice to get into.

Can you help me understand what actions I might be taking that are causing me to lose audio after seemingly innocuous things like saving the file?   For my previous issue, it turns out I was using the built-in POWERPOINT word export, which appears to have been the problem, but here, I didn't do anything very advanced at all except cutting and pasting audio from one slide to another via the Audio Editor and saving the file.  Of course, I never realized the audio is missing until I went and published the file, so it's pretty difficult for me to pin down exactly what I could be doing wrong here.
