File is too big - any suggestions?

Aug 28, 2013

My course is a series of 6 videos, that combined come out to 1.2 gigs of space (in FLV). This is too large for my LMS to upload.

I tried converting the videos to MP4  but it didn't display and SWF, but the quality suffered

Can anyone think of a way to get these videos into a SCORM that is a manageable size for my LMS?

Thanks!

I just tried uploading them to Vimeo and inserting them as web objects in Presenter and got this message:

This content cannot be displayed in a frame

To help protect the security of information you enter into this website, the publisher of this content does not allow it to be displayed in a frame.

What you can try:

Open this content in a new window

Is there something to do differently? I felt like I was on the right track

I solved my problem, and maybe I can help those in the future:

I uploaded all of the .FLV files to Vimeo at a grand total of 1.2 GBs

But I was able to download them all from Vimeo as .MP4 files for a grand total of 250 MBs

I don't know how that works, but the quality stays the same and the files get much smaller.

The SCORM package is now a manageable size and loaded into the LMS
