Flash for Presenter

Maybe I'm missing something, but is there a simple way to get flash into presenter? I'm not super familiar with flash, but I do know how to create them using some Adobe products, but no luck getting them properly into Presenter 13.
I have some animation I want to show within the PowerPoint. The original files are mov files. I know that the animation won't work when it's produced so I read it will work as a flash. I've changed the mov files in swf, but when I import them they are just big white blocks and then when I produce the module there is nothing there but the PowerPoint (not even the white block). Am I missing something? Is there a good tutorial on creating flash for presenter? I read the Flash Best Practices thread, but that didn't seem to do either.

Here is our tutorial on adding video from a file, which includes flash instructions.
Have you checked if it is working when published? The placeholder makes it appear this way sometimes.
