Adobe released Flash Player 16 on December 9, 2014 and, as a result, Articulate Presenter won’t operate. This issue was fixed in Update 5 for Presenter. See this article for details.
As a work around, I 'downgraded' flash player to 11.4 and it worked fine. but for many users, flash player will automatically update and the problem reappears. doing the update 5 seems to be the only stable solution.
Oh yeah, the confusing thing is that the error message says you need Flash Player 10 or better but when you look you find you have Flash Player 16. Well 16 > 10 so what's the deal? Anyway, the only solution I've found is to do update 5.
I'm glad you were able to get this working with the Update. For the messaging, it's not recognizing that you have Flash player installed at all - as Flash player 16 seems to have been a big shift and obviously came out after Presenter or Storyline were created.
We are having this same issue. When our IT team tried the installs for Updates 4 and 5 Articulate no longer appears on the PPt ribbon. We have checked disabled items and everything is fine there, we also checked the Comm Add-in items and we are fine there. Update 2 worked fine for us but 4 and 5 are presenting an issue.
Awhile back I had a similar issue, update 4 I think. My problem was that I was clicking on one of the Articulate Icons to launch the program rather than clicking on PowerPoint. As soon as I clicked on PowerPoint it asked me if I wanted to allow the add-ins. I said 'yes' and things then worked fine.
Hello All: So let me get this straight. You pay almost $1400 for software that won't open and doesn't work because of the Flash Player 10 error, and the company doesn't have a definitive fix for this? Is this for real. Without too much bush beating, I will either need this fixed definitely or I will need that money back in my bank account while I seek out Lectora who will gladly accept it.
This issue seems to have appeared almost a year ago. Thank you in advance for the quick fix.
Yes, Presenter is one of the tools as a part of Studio. You can read more about the Studio set up and features here, in comparison to our other main product Storyline.

Hi Sabrina!
Yes, this has been addressed. The comments indicate this as well.
Are you utilizing the latest update to the software? We are now on Update 6.
