Getting error when previewing/publishing after upgrading to Win 7

Jul 15, 2013

I recently upgraded to Windows 7 and now my existing Presenter files (Presenter 09) which worked fine prior to Win 7, give me an error every time I try to Preview or Publish ( I have PowerPoint 201 - the 32-bit version).  When I click Preview and let's say I select Preview this slide - it starts compiling and it always seems to error out at the point that the Publishing Preview window says "Publishing Master Slides  . . .  and "Creating slides master shapes  . .  ."   The error then pops up as "MicroSoft PowerPoint has stopped working" and it wants me to close the program or walk through the steps for trying to correct it.  It aso gives me an error telling me ppt has experienced a serious error and it wants me to disable the Articulate Presenter ribbon Add-in.  I did that and of course that means I don't have the Articulate menu, so that doesn't help.  I have also tried all of the steps for correcting this including enableing the disabled items, and going through the Trust Center Settings, etc.  I have uninstalled and re-installed as well.  I have installed Visual Basic for Applications in Microsoft Offices.  Nothing seems to be working.  Any ideas?

Hi, Leslie - thanks - I did submit a case and have taken all of the steps that were suggested except the last one which I would have to have our IT folks do - uninstalling and re-installing Microsoft Office.  In any case, I thought I would post my issue just in case anybody else had run into this.  Have a good one!
