Hi there Elizabeth! It sounds like you're looking to lock the player controls for slides with audio narration. Locking a slide means learners can't advance by clicking the player controls or the slide titles in the menu.
To lock a slide, do either of the following:
Click the padlock icon next to any slide thumbnail. It'll toggle between locked and unlocked.
Select any slide, and click the Navigation hyperlink in the Properties panel on the right side of the window. It'll toggle between Locked and Free.
I've Locked the Navigation on my slides. 1-5 play automatically, then the rest are to be advanced by the user, however when I preview the published show (LMS) I cannot advance to the next slide after the audio completes. I see the "lock" icon when the cursor is placed over the 'Next" button...
Hey Keith - is the timeline longer than the audio? That could be the cause. If you wish for us to take a look, you are welcome to share the file for us to take a look.
Since you are seeing this behavior when testing in an LMS, I would recommend troubleshooting using SCORM Cloud to nail down whether it's an LMS specific issue or a file specific one. If you are able to replicate, be sure to send the Articulate Package to us to take a peek.
If you would rather send your file to us privately, you can share it with our Support Engineers here. And please be sure to let me know your case number so I can follow along, as well. :)
ok, I've tried up upload a zipped package, but i'm not sure if its uploading, I just get a blank screen after submitting it and no confirmation email .... :-(
I don't see any cases listed under your name. Once your case is successfully submitted, you should see a case number. Would you mind trying one more time and let me know if it works for you?
Hey Keith! In addition to Alyssa's suggestion, I would try using a different browser if you have one available. If that does the trick and you're able to successfully upload in another browser, please let us know which browser was the problem child so our team can do some investigating into the matter. Thanks so much!

Same issue when publishing to web....
How can I securely send the package to you? I don't want to post it on this board...
