I have a flash (swf) file that someone else created that I'm trying to insert into my presentation. When I insert it, it appears on my slide, not just as a placeholder, but I actually see the graphics. When I preview the slide, the image shows up under my thumbnail tab, but the slide itself is solid black. Any ideas how to get this displayed on the slide? Thanks.
Your issue could be one of a few things, including the frame rate, the dimensions, the file's name, etc. Here's a link for the best Flash practices, and there's also a tutorial here for the proper way to add a movie. Let me know if that helps resolve the issue...
