Menu Bar - Can I remove it?
Jan 16, 2014
Hi!!
I have recently started using Articulate '13 after upgrading from '09.
When previewing my module (PPT Presentation with Engage and Quizmaker interactions) I can see a Menu bar down the left hand side. I have been into the player settings and removed it in presenter, engage and Quizmaker but it still appears whenever I come to an interaction... this is a nightmare, because the learner can click on to any slide they wish, possibly skipping slides etc, and on top of that, it doesn't look good! Please see the screenshot I have attached, this shows the menu bar which I would like to hide on all interactions.
Thanks in advance

Hi Laura and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!
It may be that the slide for that particular interaction still has the menu enabled.
To check, please click on Slide Properties and select your interaction slide in the list.
From here, in the lower right-hand side, select "Custom for the selected slides" in the drop-down menu in the Features section.
Make sure that the option for "Menu" is not selected.
It should look something like this:

Hi Christine,
Thanks for your quick reply -- as far as I can see it has worked! I didn't think to check the slide properties at all!
Thanks again - you have saved me a lot of Brain-ache!!

Hi Laura,
Wonderful! Very happy to hear that helped :)
Always happy to fight off the brain-ache if I can!

Have an awesome day, Laura!
