Navigation Slide in Presenter '13

Aug 26, 2016

Hi - I have created a multi module course in Studio 13. I want to create a clickable navigation slide so that users always come back to when they have completed a module. Otherwise I have separate modules in my LMS or a very long linear course.

Is there a way to create a navigation slide in Presenter? I also have Storyline 2 (where I know I can create navigation slides) - can I import my Studio course into Storyline and use Storyline as the master?

Thanks

Hi Gordon!

You should be able to accomplish this in Presenter with the use of PowerPoint hyperlinks to other slides on the navigation slide and branched navigation in Slide Properties to return back to that navigation slide after each module.

If you do choose to use Storyline 2 instead, check out this tutorial: Storyline 2: Importing Slides from PowerPoint

If a presentation has Articulate resources, such as audio or video, the PPTA file must be in the same folder as the PowerPoint file, and they must have the same file name. There are a few other elements that won't be brought over in the import such as players, and here also is a general list of items to consider when importing Powerpoint files in Storyline

Hi - Ali - I decided to try the hyperlink version above. I merged all my modules into one big module file (157 pages!) & had all the materials from all the modules in the same folder.

I tried Previewing a sample which crossed multiple modules. Found that once the border was crossed from the first module to the second, not a lot worked - sound gone, quizzes gone, videos gone...

Any ideas?

Hi Gordon,

Sorry that you're seeing this loss of resources! I would recommend reaching out to our Support Engineers by submitting a case here and including your Presenter Package. If you let me know the case number after submitting, I'll follow along and relay info here for anyone who may be following along. :)
