I recently ran across a user with a weird error after updating her Articulate 9 software. When opening the Articulate Presenter Add-in in PowerPoint 2010, the "critical error" screen showed up, along with another about "quitting".
I fixed my issue at least by granting the user full rights to the "C:\program files\Articulate" folder, after noticing that the software worked fine, when the user had full admin rights thus, I'd wanted to share this with y'all.
At least, this may be a temporary fix while you decide to follow the Steps to fix erratic behavior posted in the community forum.
