Presenter 09 freezes during publishing locally

Jul 24, 2013

Hello,

I have used Articulate 09 Pro consistently for months on a Windows XP Lenovo. Local admin rights were recently removed (Corporate IT decision across the board) and now Presenter freezes when publishing to local folder. If I cancel or End Task, Articulate ribbon is disabled and without admin rights I am unable to re-enable. IT couldn't re-enable either and so uninstalled and reinstalled and the ribbon is back. Next attempt at publishing any course, same result.

I do not have any of the the software typical of a Lenovo that would cause a problem with Articulate. Articulate support has confirmed my files are fine.

Any ideas? Any documentation if lack of local admin rights would cause a problem?

I look forward to any help.

Thank you,

Marcus

Hi Marcus,

I took at look at your case (# 00345798) and it looks like Vevette sent you an email on 7/19 with some additional troubleshooting steps to try. Were you able to go through those steps? If you can't find the email, please check in your junk/spam folder and look for an email from Support@articulate.com or let me know and I can have it resent to you.

Thanks!

Hi Ashley,

I did try most of the steps she suggested. My company doesn't seem to understand a repair install  for Articulate and they uninstalled and reinstalled Articulate. They did do a repair install with Office though.

The odd thing is that I can preview my courses just fine. I did remove all Quizmaker and Engage interactions and Presenter still freezes however it freezes from the outset instead of the last slide (which is usually Quizmaker) but on the first slide.

This is a new course I created from scratch with no hidden elements, no animations, no audio. Oh and I'm using Office Pro 2007, if that makes a difference.

Thank you!
