presentation players and custom color scheme

Jun 25, 2014

I have a group of colors that are specific to our brand. I have players in Studio 09 with these custome colors.  Can I import or apply the custome color theses from an 09 player, engage, quizz, etc>??  Or do I have to go in to Colors/Effects and manually set each color?

Hi Sheryl,

You'll need to open the project/interaction/quiz that contains the scheme on your machine in order to use it on that machine with other projects. You'll only need to do this once on the machine and you won't need to add content in the project that contains the scheme.

For example, here's the instructions for sharing an Engage '09 color scheme:

To transfer a custom color scheme to another Engage developer, use the following procedure:

  1. Create any interaction type in Engage and apply the custom color scheme you wish to share.
  2. Save the interaction.  (There is no need to add any content to the interaction.)

Send the saved .intr (Engage interaction) file to a colleague.  When they launch the interaction in Engage on their computer, it will automatically place the custom color scheme in the appropriate directory.  This color scheme will now be available from the Colors drop-drown list in Engage for all other projects.

Now, having said that, they're not transferable between the products. For example, if you create a scheme in Quizmaker, you cannot use the same one in Engage. But you can reuse the colors that you've chosen in your first quiz or interaction using that scheme.

Please let me know if you have trouble with this, or any questions.

Thanks!
