presenter 09 on Win8.1

I have a new Windows 8.1 computer and am trying to transfer Studio 09. I have tried Presenter 09 only so far. The installation goes without flaws, but when I try to run the program, I get the error "This application could not be started." and when I go to the help for that error, it take me to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2715633

Any help in resolving this issue would be most appreciated.  Thanks!!

Hi Buzz and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

Looks like you are getting a .NET error.

To ensure that Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 is enabled:

  • Press Windows Key+X on your keyboard to display the Tools Menu, and select Programs and Features. Or, right-click the lower left corner of your monitor to display the Tools Menu, and select Programs and Features.
  • Click the link in the left navigation pane to Turn Windows features on or off.
  • Mark the box for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) if it's not already selected, and click OK.
