Presenter '13: Try to Publish to Web, Receive Error Report

May 14, 2016

Hello,

I use Presenter '13 and am trying to publish a presentation for the web. Whenever I try to publish I get an Error Report message. I've shared my presentation as an attachment, hoping someone can take a look and help me troubleshoot.

Thanks!

Hi Kim!

I'm unable to preview or publish this file. It seems there may be some corruption.

You may be able to reuse your slides in a new presentation to alleviate the issue. Otherwise, I advise going small sections at a time to identify the problematic slide(s).

  1. Open a new, blank presentation in PowerPoint.
  2. Go to the Home tab, click the drop-down arrow beside New Slide, and choose Reuse Slides.
  3. In the Reuse Slides panel, click the Browse button and choose Browse File.
  4. Browse to your original PowerPoint file and click Open.
  5. At the bottom of the Reuse Slides panel, mark the box to Keep source formatting.
  6. Right-click the first slide in the Reuse Slides panel and select Insert All Slides.
  7. Save the new presentation and republish.

Note: Articulate resources, such as audio and video, will need to be inserted again into the new presentation. You may need to export the narration from your original presentation, then import it into the new presentation.

Hi Leslie,

Thank you for the response. I followed your steps 1-6, exported the audio from the old presentation, and then imported it into the new one. I had to set new slides throughout the presentation because it was one big audio file. When I went to publish, I got another error message. Attached is the presentation I tried to republish. This is so frustrating because I feel like I am spending so much time each try only to get the same error report message. Do you know why it still won't publish?

Thanks,

Kim

Hi Kim!

Thanks for sharing and allowing me to take a look. I attempted to publish your course and got an error as well. I then tried to preview and got an error. So, I took to 3 slides at a time previewing to identify the problematic slide. It's slide 16. That's the one causing issue. I would advise that you re-create this slide, then delete the original.
