Published AICC content not loading from index_lms.html file

Apr 18, 2014

Hi,

I am using Presenter '09 Update 10 and am working on a course that will not load from the index_lms.html file once I upload it to our server and link to it from the LMS. The player.html works fine when launched from my local drive.

The interesting thing is that my colleague published the same course from his computer and it works fine.

I have tried clearing my articulate cache, uninstalling studio '09 completely and then re-installing, but this still fails to work when published from my computer.

I'm thinking the issue must lie within my computer itself, however I had no issues with this previously. The only thing I can think of is if my system isn't playing nicely since Update 10.

Anyone have any thoughts/advice? Thanks in advance.

Hi Mike and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

First, can you please confirm that you're uploading all of the output files to your LMS sever before testing?

Here are some articles that may help:

Articulate Support - Publish to Your LMS

Articulate - Word of Mouth Blog - Publish to LMS with Studio '09

It may also help to talk to your colleague about how they're uploading their content to the server and how their viewing it. Are there any differences in the steps you're taking, web browser you're using to view the content, etc.?

It may also help to try testing your content on another server.

  • I suggest using SCORM Cloud for your course - it's a great place to test SCORM content.
  • Since you're using AICC content please take a look at the article below for testing information:

Articulate Support - Testing Studio '09 AICC content at SCORM Cloud

  • Another option would be to use our Tempshare server. Just keep in mind that this server is only available for testing content - it is not officially supported by Articulate and all content will be removed automatically after 10 days.
  • You're always welcome to try out Articulate Online, as well - it's available for a free 30 day trial.

The articles here and here may also help clear up common LMS issues.

Please let us know if you continue to have trouble launching the course using the lms file.

Thanks!
