Hi Anna, I'm sorry, it's not possible to recreate a PowerPoint file from your published output. When you publish a course, it's kind of like baking a cake - your slide content gets transformed to Flash (a different format from PowerPoint entirely) - once it's baked, you can't pull out the raw ingredients in their original form.
Something you might consider using is a free service such as Dropbox, which allows you to keep an online backup of your project files really painlessly - a lot of folks here in the community use it and it's a great service. I know that that doesn't really help in your current situation, but it could help prevent losing your work in the future.
I had backed up most of my data onto Microsoft Skydrive (which is similar to dropbox). I'm just glad I only lost 2 PPT files (and just a few other non-important files) that I hadn't backed up yet.
I have same issue with Anna. At least, Is there any way to retrieve back the player skin to import it back to the Articulate from the published articulate studio file?
so, I don't need to recreate the layour and all the color skins again.
Hi Yulstar, the player template is stored in the project's PowerPoint and PPTA files. If you no longer have those files but if you DO have access to the computer where the project was originally created, you might still be able to find the player template file on that computer's hard drive. See this knowledgebase article for info on where you can look for the player template file: http://www.articulate.com/support/kb_article.php?product=ap9&id=iwhjesgizi7m If that's unsuccessful, unfortunately there's really no other way to access the original source file or the player template.
