Seekbar freezes after 5 seconds

Mar 31, 2020

I am publishing powerpoint slides with narration using the LMS and sending to canvas. This has been flawless and once I figured all the settings properly it works like a champ...with one slide that is driving me crazy.

It is set to advance automatically as we need to lock the content, it is also set to seekbar as read-only because we can't have people advance, they must listen through. This works perfectly.

The slide I am struggling with STOPS the seekbar moving at 5 seconds. The narration will play out, but then the slide is frozen. It does this in the preview and I can't figure out why. Someone help as this one slide is ruining the entire project.

Hi Brett!

I'm sorry you've hit this snag! Can I take a look at the file so that I can determine what would be causing this certain slide to freeze at 5 seconds?

If so, I'll just need the Articulate Package so that I can open it on my end. It's a simple process so here are the steps:

  1. Go to the File tab on the PowerPoint ribbon, click Share, choose Articulate Package, then click the Articulate Package button.
  2. When the Articulate Presenter Package window appears, choose a Package Location. By default, the zip file will be created in the same location where your PowerPoint file is stored, but you can change it. Just click the ellipsis (...) button, and browse to a different folder.
  3. Modify any of the optional Package Notes, and click Create Package.
  4. When the Publish Successful dialog appears, you'll have an option to open the folder where the zip file was created. Click Close when you're done.

You can either attach the zip folder to this discussion or you can share it privately with me by using this link.
