Slide Animations and Rehearsed Timing

I'm not sure if it's my ineptness in PowerPoint or Articulate - but between the two I am just challenged.

I am trying to create an audio-less elearning.  Most slides are built to hold a picture that is "flown in" as well as words to explain the picture that are "unfolded" in.

When publishing it originally, the timing of the slide movement and transition from one to the next was lengthy in some areas and too short in others.

I began playing with the options located on the Ariculate tab>Presentation options but to no avail three days later. 

If you look at the presentation in slide sorter view, you'll see the timings it should be but upon publishing it and viewing the Player file the timings are very different.  Things that are 24 seconds in slide sorter are now 5.

Any help would be appreciated.
