Slide with mp4 clip doesn't advance when clip ends

I have several slides with 30-50 second mp4 clips. The slides advance, but not for 5-8 seconds after the clip ends. All slide properties are set to advance automatically. When importing the mp4 clips, I selected "Display in slide", "Advance slide automatically when the movie finishes" and "synchronize slide and movie." I've read the Best Practices" web page often recommended by the Articulate folks, but still can't find a way to shorten the time my slide advances to match the length of the clip. I even went into Audio Editor and moved the marker separating the slide from the next so that it only shows a slide length of a few seconds, to no avail. Windows 7 and PowerPoint 2007. Anyone have any ideas?

Hey Dennis,
Mind if we take a look at it? First, create an Articulate Presenter Package of your presentation as described here. Then upload the resulting zip file from your computer on the second page of this form, and we''ll attempt to diagnose what's happening when we receive your upload.
Thanks!
