sync animations displays slide resized wrong... help please!

Jul 11, 2012

I am having trouble with articulate presenter in the sync animations feature. When I go to do it, the slide is displayed too large for the window and thus I can't see part of the slide, as it is covered up by the upper control bar and the notes slides... This makes it impossible to see and sync my animations.

I am including two sample pictures 1) shows the full slide in powerpoint, 2) shows how the slide is displayed in the sync animations presenter screen.

So you can see the top banner region is completely covered up, and some of the region to the right.

**Note: if you look closely you can see see a strip of lighterblack on the left side of the wrongly-sized slide. I find this interesting because my cursor changes to a plus when I am in that region. And, my cursor changes to a regular arrow on the far right of the slide. So, it's like the software has the correctly sized region, but displays the slide wrong. **

I have tried different presentations and different powerpoint files and still have the same problem.

I have searched and searched for the answer to this problem to no avail. This is a very important project for me... please help! Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I double checked the dimensions and I had already been using the supported ones. Still have the problem.

Note: I had not been having this problem until earlier this week. Previously everything was working fine and I was able to complete and publish my presentations without a problem. Been using Articulate '09 for 2+ years now.

I also checked the DPI and it was already the normal size of 96. No dice.

What I'm really wondering is: why has this all of a sudden happened to me now? Like I said, I've been using Articulate for 2 years, and had no problems with this, even as recently as a month ago. But now this means I'm way behind on a very major project. (!)

Hi Ryan,

I'd recommend sending us your project files so we can take a closer look at what's going on. Please create an Articulate Presenter package, then upload the zip file to our server. You can review how to do this here:

Send to Articulate Presenter Package – Articulate Presenter ’09 Help

Upload the resulting zip file from your computer to our server using this upload form:

Thanks!

Just to update this thread -- I tried everything that Articulate suggested, but the only thing that fixed it was updating to a latter version of Powerpoint (2010), I had previously only had Powerpoint 2007 . This fix the major problem, although I still get some minor error messages, but nothing that prevented me from finishing my project.

Thanks!
