Syncing animations and audio files

May 14, 2012

Hi - am trying to sync a bouncing question mark with a "boing" wav file - the animations are all timed the way I want them to be but I cannot get the "boing" to play when the question mark lands.

I am trying to do this through the Audio Editor and Sync animations - there are 4 animations on this page.

When using the audio editor I believe I have the audio sound where it needs to be but that doesn't work  comes in a the start of the slide - so I tried the sync animations and only the first animation shows up (which isn't the question mark).

HELP!

Which tool should I be using or is it a combination of both and is their a tutorial for what I am trying to do - I've looked at the one on line that Jeanette did but it's not really helping.

Is there a tutorial for audio editor only?

Thanks ~ E

Hi - you guys are awesome !!!! just wanted to let you know that.  You are always so prompt to answer and help.

I've figured it out :o) - my question mark sound and question mark are all sounding and bouncing at the correct location.

It comes with understanding how the audio files work and where the marker for the animation is is not necessarily where the sound bite needs to start .

If there is a tutorial on the basics of audio editor - the program itself - that would be helpful.

Much thanks again!!!!

Hi - thanks but I've seen this one and it isn't really what I am looking for.

I've attached a word doc with a snip of the audio editor and the slide I was trying to sync and some questions I had while trying to do that - hopefully that explains more of what I was thinking about :o)

Cheers ~ E
