the attachments tab does not show the document I added

Feb 11, 2013

In presenter 2009 I created 7 separate modules all using the same default skin with an attachment tab. In each module I added a single pdf document--which shows as being included in the articulate admin functions. then published the files. When I open to review after publishing, the document is not showing up in the attachments tab. I have deleted the file, reentered it, republished at least 5 times and the document is still not showing up. Does anyone have a suggestion for what may cause this?

Hi Jo-el,

Just curious, are you viewing the published content locally? Are you able to try uploading the content to a web server or LMS to test the presentation? If you view a published Presenter '09 presentation on your local hard drive you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail.

To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published. Please review this article for details.
If you've uploaded the content, or used the CD output for testing the content locally and still don't see the attachment tab, would you mind sharing a Presenter Package with us, so we can take a look? Once the package has been created, please submit the file in a support case. Also, please share your case number with me.
Thanks!

Hi Christine;

This issue came about when it was uploaded to a Moodle lms, then I went back and tested everything locally--the pdf file is there, it just does not show as an option to click under the attachments tab. The attachments tab is there. I then deleted the file and reloaded it to make sure the system had the correct path, several times but it still does not show up as a clickabale option. Again the attachment tab is there, it is the clickable link to the pdf file that is not showing up. I also checked in the published course folders and the pdf is in the data folder...

I will do a presenter package with the published zip file.

Thank you

Good morning Jo-el!

I checked in on your case this morning and I see that Miker is working with you on the issue. He sent a response yesterday and I just want to make sure you've received it. If you haven't seen it yet, please try checking your "Spam" folders and/or filters. You may also want to add support@articulate.com as a safe sender.

If the issue has been resolved, please let me know. If this is still happening, please be sure to respond to Miker, so he can continue working on this with you.

Thanks!

Thank you for the email follow up. I had not seen Miker's response, and yes he verified that the pdf was indeed there and did work. I appreciate the support and help resolving this problem. It was a vendor who is using moodle, not my articulate created course. YEAH Articulate--I am one of your raving fans, and this just proves how awesome articulate support is. Heroes indeed

Kind regards,
Jo-el
