When trying to load a WMV file into Video Encoder 09, I get a message that the file cannot be loaded. Please ensure you have the latest versions of Windows Media Player and Quicktime along with any required codecs.
I am running Windows Vista, with Media Player 11 and Quicktime 7.7.
The WMV codec is installed with Media Player.
Any one seen this before?

Hey Rod,
K-Lite Codec Pack Full (accept all default installation options):

Media Player Codec Pack (deselect toolbar options during installation):

I am also getting this message and so is several other people at my organization... we all have the above codec files downloaded. I also have an updated Windows Media Player. I have been trying to troubleshoot this for almost a month! Any more help would be appreciated!
Sorry for the frustration, Katie.
If you have downloaded and installed the codec packs successfully but are still experiencing issues, please feel free to submit a case to our support staff describing in as much detail as possible the issue that you're having. You can do that here:

Hi Katie!
Looks like the support team suggested rebooting your system after installation of the codec packs, and added that if you continue to experience the same issue, try to convert your raw video to .AVI format and then try load your video into Articulate Video Encoder.
I'm curious to know if that got the issue resolved for you. I hope so!
I was able to conver the files to .avi first and then use the encoder. Thanks!
Awesome! Thanks for the update, Katie!
