Viewing the player.html file

Mar 02, 2011

I send via email to a fellow employee a course I had created.  She forwarded that email with the instructions on how to open to a client.  When the client double clicked on the player.html file, it opened the web browser but the page was blank.  Any ideas as to why?  Could it be a firewall issue? Any thoughts on how to rectify?

Hi Anne,

It sounds like the end-user opened the player.html file without extracting the contents of the ZIP file to their hard drive.

If you would like to share the content with another person, I recommend emailing the content by using the method below:

1. Publish the presentation to Web

2. When the Publish Successful window opens, click the Open Folder option

3. Select all of the files in the folder and right click the selection

4. Choose Send to > Compressed zipped Folder. This will create a ZIP file.

5. Email the ZIP file to the person you wish to see the presentation

6. Once the other person receives the files, they will need to unzip the entire contents to a folder on their machine.

7. Finally, they will launch the presentation by running the player.html file

Hi Derek,

If you'd like, we'd be happy to test it out on our end. Please create an Articulate Presenter package, then upload the zip file to our server. You can review how to do this here:
