I'm having problems with opening a Word document that I save as an attachment. The link is there when I publish to LMS or the web but it doesn't open - like it can't find the file.
Sounds like it's probably a popup blocker or other browser security restriction preventing it from happening. You may also want to make sure the file names aren't too long or contain any special characters. There's more info here that should help. Let us know...

Thanks we've done a work around! Created a PDF and hosted it on a different server - that seems to have worked.
