I've been using Peek and Replay to create screen casts. Whenever I publish a file and play the MP4, the name of the file always displays in white text in the lower third for the first few seconds.
I don't want the file name to display. Is there any way of preventing or removing this?
Hi there, Daniel. Which media player are you using to launch those .mp4s? I saw different behavior between VLC and Windows Media Player, for example:
VLC: File name appears at the bottom and animates out.
Windows Media Player: File name appears at top with player controls at the bottom, and they animate out.
Whether (and how) the file name displays will be up to your media player. Will you be using the videos elsewhere or just running them directly on a desktop?
I'm not able to replicate this behavior in Storyline.
With your permission, I'd like to take a look at your project file to investigate what's happening. You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.
Hi Leslie, thanks for looking into this for me. I've now published the Storyline file with the embedded MP4s and have tested it on my LMS. The MP4 file names do not display in the published version, so all is good. It looks like the file name only appears when viewed in Review.

Hi Crystal,
I've been viewing the MP4s in VLC. I also viewed my screen casts recorded in Peek in Articulate Review and the file name was also displayed in there.
My intention is to embed them within Storyline but the file name seems to be displaying here too.
Regards
Daniel
