Replay Editing

Sep 13, 2022

Hello, I'm currently editing a project in Replay.  I'm trying to merge two sections together where I deleted a long pause in my screen recording.  It will only allow me to fade it into the section before it so the audio is over the top of the audio from the previous section.  I have done this many time and this is the only time it’s not allowed me to just merge them together.  Any suggestions?

Hi Kristine,

Thanks for reaching out!

I tried to replicate the behavior that you experienced using a video with an audio track, but I couldn't get the audio to fade using the built in editing tools in Replay 360. I'd like to ask a few questions to help clarify your experience:

  • Are you able to replicate the behavior using the same, unedited version of your video file? If yes, would you be willing to share a copy of your video file here as well as the steps to replicate the behavior so we can figure out what's happening?
  • Does repairing your Replay 360 installation help?
  • Is deleting the sections of the video with faded audio using the delete tool an option for you?

If you'd like for us to take a look at your project file, open a case with our support engineers here and we'll be glad to take a closer look.

Hi Joe,

Thank you for replying.  I’m very new to Replay and am not sure how to get to the unedited version of my video file.  I am currently working on editing another project and am running into the same thing; just on one section of the many I have merged together, after deleting a section, is only letting me line it up by fading it in.

I have attached a file that shows snips of what is happing.   I am not able to share the video file here due to our customer privacy policy.

Deleting the sections of the video with fading audio is not an option, as I will lose the audio I recorded.

Thank you for your help!
