Now that iOS 7 is out, I wonder if anyone has had a change yet to test a Storyline project in both HTML5 and Mobile Player App and if there may be any Storyline-iOS 7 issues.
From September 2013 to July 2014 and still no fix.... this is very frustrating. I even tried offering a Gold Star and a Chocolate Frog to anyone here who might find a solution but no joy. I will gladly ship these valuable prizes to any staff member at Articulate or Moodle who comes up with a solution.
I haven't had time to review that patch or look to see if it's something we could merge into Moodle core yet... this is the biggest issue I've been hearing about at the moment though so I'll try to put some time on it this weekend.
Our team is working on this issue, and it's been documented here as they continue to investigate potential solutions. Since every LMS player is different it's also worth checking into if your particular LMS offers a way to force the content out of the iFrame, such as the patch that Dan linked to above specific to Moodle.
Hopefully we'll eventually get native support for Tin Can in Moodle and be able to support the Mobile App player but it might be a while before we manage to get that all sorted - especially as no-one is currently providing funding to complete the work.
No one has reported any issues with mobile devices, SCORM and Moodle 2.7 in the Moodle Tracker but If you could provide very specific information on how to reproduce the error it would be great if you could create a new issue.
In the Moodle Tracker issues we need:
Screenshots of the problems and full information on how to reproduce including all settings used in the SCORM (current window vs new window etc)
Information on the core Moodle theme that allows us to reproduce the issue - if your issue is with a 3rd party theme you will need to report it to the theme developer - not to me.
A SCORM Package that allows us to reproduce the issue.
thanks,
Hi Dan,
We are working on a storyline project which has iPAD compatibility. We are facing an issue with the screen dimension in Ipad via Moodle LMS. I have enclosed screenshot & output. Could you please take a look and let us know the workaround to resolve this issue?
The output screen does not fit properly when viewed on the iPAD (using Safari browser) via Moodle. A few pixels are getting out of the box on the right, and that portion of the screen is getting cut.
We are using iPad 2, running iOS 7.1.2 & moodle2.4
Fixed issue where HTML5 content displayed in an iFrame wouldn't size correctly in mobile Safari
This will also depend on your LMS and I know that users have shared here that newer versions of Moodle have better display of the content while in the iPad. I'd also recommend updating to Storyline Update 6 and then republishing your content to see if that fix helps.
Hi Ashley, the above issue about the browser window size being too large is been notified a long ago. I have been facing this issue for over a week now where the browser size is way to big to fit the Ipad window on IOS 7 & can't go back to the normal size when double tapped or pinched.
Hi Ashley, I am currently using the Update 8 version of Storyline 1. We published some lessons recently using this latest update and it seems that we still have that issue. The browser window size doesn't fit the layout & also when the ipad is rotated to change the view, the browser shuts down.
You may want to look at testing outside of your LMS, as some learning management systems (LMSs) display content in an iFrame by default. If your content is misaligned or truncated in the LMS iFrame, please contact your LMS provider for support. You could look at testing it at SCORM Cloud which is an industry standard for testing LMS content to see how it behaves there as a base line.

Hi Jimmy,
I also just replied to your post over here, so I just wanted to link them.

I'm willing to purchase a case of beer or bottle of wine if Alcohol is a better incentive!

Hi Raghu,
I also wanted to let you know that Storyline Update 6 included a fix where:

Hi Subu,
As my last post mentioned, there was a fix for the sizing issue in Update 6 of Storyline 1. What update of Storyline are you currently using?
