Announcing Storyline 2 Update 7, Storyline 1 Update 10, and Articulate Updater (iOS 9 support)

Sep 15, 2015

Hi everyone,

Good news: We just released updates to Storyline 2, Storyline 1, and the Articulate Updater to add support for iOS 9 in published output.

Apple plans to release iOS 9 tomorrow (September 16, 2015).

The Storyline 2 update also adds support for Google Chrome 44 and later on Android devices, and crushes a few bugs.

Get these latest updates here:

The Articulate Updater scans and updates Storyline 2, Storyline 1, and Studio '13 published content to make it compatible with iOS 9 without having to re-publish your courses.

We're working on finalizing Studio '13 Update 7 for iOS 9 support, which we'll release soon.

Update: Studio '13 Update 7 with iOS 9 support is also available.

We'll auto-update all published Articulate Online content soon, too.

Hi Brianna,

We don't share information in regards to our product road map or new features/releases so I don't have a timeframe or answer to either of your questions. Our team is always keeping an eye on potential fixes for the current versions and what new things we may be able to introduce in the future. If you have particular thoughts or ideas that you'd like to see you can share your thoughts in the form of a feature request.

Hi Sam,

The release notes just include the basic notation of what was fixed or included - and the iOS9 issues are more detailed here. The second part of that article has a fix associated with updating previously published courses - and you'll want to use that if your  users are updating to iOS9 but if they'll be using an earlier iOS then it may not be something you have to worry about right away.

Hi Christoph,

I'm sorry to hear about the error you've run into. As Phil mentioned you may need to work with your IT team to disable the antivirus or look at having them installing it as an admin if you're unable to do so yourself. If you continue to experience difficulty you're welcome to connect with our Support team to see if there are any additional issues that could be interfering with your set up.

Hi Christine,

Thanks for reaching out here and sorry to hear about the issue you've encountered. Can you confirm that you're working on local project files and exporting locally as detailed here and what version of Word you're using and that it matches the system requirements.

If you're still having difficulty, is it just this one file or all files you're trying to export? If it's just the one file I'd suggest going through the import process to try it from a new .story file. If it's happening in all your files, can you connect with our Support team so that we can gather a bit more information about the behavior.

Interesting;  tried the updater on three of my drives, all internal.  It found 800 files that needed updating.  When i completed, it went into update mode, but only processed successfully 6 of the 800;  each of those was a zip file.  Clicking on one of the failed entries, I got the message that the app was looking for a TMP file but couldn't find it...
