Can't open Player Settings in Storyline

Nov 07, 2023

Hi, I've searched through and found similar issues, but no resolution.

I need to get into Player settings. I click Player. Nothing happens. I try to click somewhere else on the screen and I get a warning noise.

I can get out of it by pressing escape, but I need to access the Player settings.

I've uninstalled, reinstalled, and rebooted. Storyline version 3.81.31200000 on Win 11. I need to change the player settings ASAP.

Thanks!

I am also having this problem. Has there been a resolution?

Update: I followed these instructions and they worked for me.

"If I move Storyline to my second display a much smaller 19", from my main 27" display, the Player settings popup window appears above the application.

Does anyone know of a way that I can reset Articulate or is it just not happy with the 4K Benq HDR screen I'm using as my main display? "

The monitor I was originally trying to use is also a 4k ASUS monitor...not sure if that makes a difference or not.

Thanks

Hello Creative Team,

Sorry to hear that you ran into this snag.

I'd like to ask a few questions to help clarify your experience:

  • Does Storyline 360 when you open the player for all projects? Or is this only happening to some projects that you are working on?
  • Are you able to replicate the behavior on a new project file?
  • Are you working locally when making changes to your project?

If the behavior affects all of your project files, including newly created ones, try repairing your Storyline 360 installation to see if this helps address the behavior. You'll also want to try installing both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Storyline 360 to see if the issue will happen on both versions.

Let us know how it goes!

  • For me, Storyline360 reacts the same way on every file I open, weather new or old. The player options will not show up on my main 4k monitor. It could be because my computer is showing that my main monitor is designated 3 while the monitor the player options tries to appear on is designated 1.
  • Yes, I can replicate this on every project.
  • Yes, I am working locally

I have re-installed Storyline and I switched to using 64-bit; both respond the same way.
