My video will not replay when I revisit a slide on mobile and tablet devices. It works on desktop though. It is set to play the video automatically in the slide.
The problem is easy to reproduce:
Navigate to the slide with the video
Watch the video
Navigate to the next slide
Click the Prev button to navigate back to the video slide
The video length at the end of the video control seek bar shows a length of 00:00
The only way to force the video to play a second time is to refresh the browser page.
This issue exists on:
iOS 10.2 - Safari on iPhone 6S, and Safari on iPad mini4
I can confirm this case: in html5 output viewed with Firefox, videos are not being replayed after being visited for the first time, even if the slide setting for "when revisiting" is set to "reset".
I think it is a bug that deserves to be solved quickly because it can go un-noticed at first, hinder key functionalities and get courses "stuck" inexpectedly (i was able to catch the bug only because I came to view the output via Firefox, otherwise the client would have received a course with a serious bug).
For now, one workaround is to publish with flash and html5 fallbacks, since by now firefox defaults to Flash output and Chrome to HTML5, so hopefully the problem can be bypassed in this way.
Just in case, I submitted my .story to you Articulate guys, case #01103835, waiting for feedback when you can. Hope it can help solve the problem quickly, and help some Heroes out there with the same problem. HTML5 output is great in 360 but still has some bugs!
Any news on this? No intention to hurry you, but It's a pretty serious bug that's affecting a work of lots of SL users, I've seen a lot of updates for SL360 but very little bugfixing!

Also, we've had 15 updates since Storyline 360 launched with a number of bug fixes - just not this one yet. 😉 Take a look at the release notes here, and you'll see our team is committing to new features, fixes and releasing those things as often as possible.
Thank you Ashley, I know that you're not lazy when it comes to working to improve the product ;) The fact is that some bugs (like this one) can really hinder the functionality of a course, especially since the trend is on the use of videos, branching and html5 output in e-learning courses. So If I was in Articulate shoes, I would put bugs like this at the top of my to-do-list. Keep up your awesome work guys & girls ;)

I am also having the same trouble, using firefox. Revisiting a slide doesn't reset the videos, regardless of the "Reset to initial" status for the slide. We are using Storyline 3 however, as my employer would rather buy a full version than the web based one. I'll be following for updates, if possible. Let me know if I can help troubleshoot this, we're on a deadline as well! Thanks!

To clarify, Storyline 360 is also a full, desktop authoring tool. It is the latest version of Storyline, plus apps, content, and resources that speed up your Storyline workflow. So all of the same capabilities of Storyline 3, plus integration with the rest of Articulate 360 and a continual release of new features!
