I'm working on a software simulation that uses a slider to show different images across a timeline. One feature of the software I'm trying to simulate is a play button that, when clicked, steps through each of the slider positions in sequence to show each of the images.
Is there any way to change the position of the slider thumb from a trigger? I basically want to animate the slider movement. I figure I could use a series of triggers to move the thumb one step at a time.
There is a variable connected to each slider. You can use triggers to change that variable, which in turn will adjust the slider thumb position to reflect the variable value. Also, here are some examples of sliders in SL2: http://dev.keypointlearn.com/xcl73_SL2/Sliders/V1/story.html
Thanks Michael, (and for asking Doug) this helps me with a redundant menu system I'm working on for so a learner can freely navigate without using the slider. Ryan

Thanks, Michael. You rock! I was trying to change the state of the slider rather than the variable associated with it. Works great now!
Glad that Michael was able to assist you here Doug. Thanks for the update!
